Glitch Effect in Photoshop in Less than 1 Minute

Today, I am going to show you how to create the Glitch effect in Adobe Photoshop.
Glitch effect is very popular these days.
You will find the Glitch effect everywhere we be it images or the videos.
RGB Glitch effect is very easy to create in Photoshop.

There are so many techniques to create the Glitch effect or the RGB Glitch effect in Photoshop.
But I I am going to show you the simple and quick way to create the Glitch effect in Photoshop.
In this tutorial, we will use the layer effects panel or the layer style panel to create the Glitch effect.
In layer style panel we will use the RGB channels to create the Glitch effect in Photoshop.
Using the Glitch effect you can easily turn any image into the stunning creative Glitch image.
In this tutorial, we will take a portrait image and will turn that portrait into the Glitch portrait effect in Photoshop.
And I am sure you are going to love this technique as it takes less than 1 minute to create the Glitch effect in Photoshop.

So let’s create the Glitch effect in Photoshop.
Follow these steps too quickly create the Glitch effect:-
Step No. 1
Create three duplicate copies of your image to which you want to give the Glitch effect by pressing Control + J or command + J If you are using Mac.
Step No. 2
Turn off all the layers except the first copy by clicking on the icon next to the layers.
double click on the blank space in the layers that would open the layer style panel or the layer effects panel as shown in the image below.
Step No. 3
In Advanced Blending Options, there are 3 channels R, G, and B
Uncheck the G and B channel as shown in the image below.
Step No. 4
This time Uncheck the R and B panel and leave the G channel checked.
Step No. 5
This time and check the R and G channels and leave the B channels checked.

Now you will be having 3 channels one is red second is green and third is blue.
you can see by turning individual layers on by clicking on the icon in the layers panel in Photoshop.
Step No. 6
Now select the move tool by pressing V on the keyboard or click on the upper left corner of the Tools Panel in Photoshop.
Step No. 7
Now nudge each of three layers which are Red, Green and Blue little bit on either left or right with the help of Left Arrow Key or Right Arrow Key.
By this time, you might be having the Glitch effect already but wait there is still more.
In order to achieve the best Glitch effect, we need to use one more interest to this image.
Step No. 8
Now create a Merge Copy or Stamped Copy of all three Visible layers by Pressing CTR+Alt+Shift+E or CMD + Alt + Shift+E
Now you will be having merged copy of all three layers as shown in the image below.
Step No. 9
Go to the Filter then Stylize and then choose Wind from the filters menu as shown in the image below.
Step No. 10
Choose Method-Blast and Direction from Left or Right or Right to Left as you wish.
You can even choose method-Wind for Subtle Effect but if you want more Glitch effect to choose Method-Blast and Press OK.
Now you must have got the Amazing Glitch Effect.
